JFM has a long history of assisting dozens of
private and public clients deal with contaminants found on their
property. Historically this often involved 'dig and dump' methodology,
whereby for example contaminated soils were simply hauled away and
disposed. However, currently available remediation techniques and
cost factors have made the on-site or off-site treatment of many
common contaminants a viable solution of choice. JFM offers such state of the art remediation solutions while
continuing to also provide conventional excavation, removal and
disposal services where circumstances indicate that this method
is in the client's best interest. Representative examples of some
larger scale projects successfully discharged that included a significant
Phase III removal or remediation component are listed below:
-
- Several individual complete
turnkey projects including all permits and document preparation
in connection with soil and groundwater investigations involving
multiple USTs, management of the removal of the USTS and related
contaminants, and the development of a groundwater monitoring
program for each location. Individual sites included in this
project were Metro properties each containing severe USTS
-
- Environmental Site
Assessments of 10 individual Parks Department sites, the removal
of 23 separate USTs discovered during the ESAs, and the cleanup
of the related contaminated soils at 7 of the sites. As with
the Transportation Department project, JFM provided turnkey
services to the Parks Department, including securing all permits,
preparation of all necessary documentation in connection with
the removal of the USTs and their related contaminants, and
the development of a groundwater monitoring program for the
applicable sites.
